We started using our blog to help share plans for our Maui trip in April ’08, and it was a lot of fun. Not only was it a good way to share ideas and get feedback on things to do, it also was a nice way to chronicle things we didn’t get to. Below, you can find details from our planning for the most recent trips.

Trip 6 – August ’11

After missing our first annual trip since ’06, the Nelson ‘ohana was making their way back to Maui. Yes, I said ‘ohana, as in bringing our 9 month old son with for his first taste of Aloha.

Timing for this was around the third annual Maui Photo Festival and Workshops being held at the Hyatt Regency Maui in Ka’anapali once again. After attending the first workshops back in ’09, I was excited about getting back and learning more from some great instructors.

But before the classes begin, we have a few days to ourselves for enjoying the island that we so dearly missed.

Trip 5 – September ’09

We came up with our next trip just before we left for Maui in February, and it has to do with one of my favorite things to do on Maui, taking photos. We heading back for the second trip this year to attend the first annual Maui Photo Festival and Workshops being held at the Hyatt Regency Maui in Ka’anapali. Four days of workshops and instruction from professional photographers, both in the classroom and out in the field. How could I pass up an opportunity like that?

Trip 4 – February ’09

Plans that we had made for our most recent trip to Maui. As it was our 4th trip to the Valley Isle, you might think by now there wasn’t much we hadn’t seen yet. You’d be wrong.

Trip 3 – April ’08

As mentioned, this trip was the first one we started sharing our plans at the blog while we were still trying to figure out what these two weeks were going to look like. It was so helpful, we decided to do it for all our upcoming trips.
