It was two years since our last Maui vacation, but starting our family was well worth it. As in '09, we're back to attend the Maui Photo Festival and Workshops to hone in my photography skills. And as we introduce our nine month old son to the Magic Island, we have a few days to ourselves before things get started.

Less than one week to go!!!
Last week I started sharing some of our overall plans for the week in paradise, and by now there's a little more news to share. First up and as promised, a full rundown of the workshop sessions I'm planning on taking at the Maui Photo Festival and Workshops this time next week. It's going to be a busy few days once the festival starts, but it's going to all going to be worth it.

Trip 6 - The Social Visit
What, we leave for Maui in two weeks? Holy crap!
That's tongue-in-cheek, of course, no doubt we're very excited to be going back to the island that we love for the first time in almost 2 years. What's snuck up on us is just how fast things as a new 'ohana are racing by and how that first early morning flight will be here before we know it.
The Good News
The good news - or bad news, if you wish - is that this trip is shorter than our previous 2-week adventures, so there isn't too much else needed to plan. We arrive Monday, so we have Monday night, all day Tuesday, and most of the day Wednesday to ourselves. Wednesday night starts the opening of the Maui Photo Festival and Workshops, and that runs all the way through to Sunday morning. Sadly, we leave on a late flight that night on Sunday.
