It took a lot of extra work, but we made it back to Maui for the second time in 2009.
We did it in the name of photography – in particularly the inaugural Maui Photo Festival and Workshops being held at the Hyatt in Ka’anapali. And it was the start of something beautiful.
Not to be outdone, we also got to spend our anniversary on Maui for the second time, but now with a few dozen new friends, too.

Beaches
With only a few days to ourselves, our beach time was pretty limited. We made it count, though, by hitting up a beach along the north shore that we hadn't visited yet.

Like we try for all of our trips, it's a little bit of the familiar and then branching out into a few new places.

Shopping
Again, with a shortened personal schedule this trip, our shopping time was less than normal. However, we still managed to help out the local economy just a tad.

- 808 Clothing Company - Ma'alaea
