By this point, we’re pretty much regulars on the Valley Isle, and even the housekeeping staff at the Sheraton recognize us from last year. Our third trip was magical for many reasons, including our first encounters with the whales here in Maui, celebrating my birthday here on the island, and being able to bring my mom with us on her first visit to Hawaii, and her first two week vacation, well, ever.

Sights and Tours
With my mom as our guest this trip, we took the opportunity to show here around all of our familiar stomping grounds. While we didn't venture off to too many new places, it was really fun playing tour guide.
- Black Rock Cliff Dive Ceremony
- Ka'anapali Sunset Luau
- Maui Ocean Center
- Stargazing
- Historic Lahaina Town
- Pacific Whale Foundation Whale Watch
- Road to Hana
- HAPA in concert
Beaches
We've always enjoyed scoping out new beaches every trip to Maui, but this trip was the start of a new tradition for us, Beach Hopping. It entailed an entire day of beach fun, visiting 3 new spots all on the same day.
- Ka'anapali Beach
- Waianapanapa State Park
- Koki Beach (Red Sand Beach)
- Kame'ole Beach I
- Malu'aka Beach
- Big Beach - Makena State Park
Restaurants
While we stuck to some of the same sights and tours as we had on passed trips, we made it out to a few restaurants from some ono meals.
- BJ's Chicago Pizzeria
- Cheeseburger in Paradise
- Leilani's
- Kimo's
- Aloha Mixed Plate
- Giovanni's Tomato Pie
Shopping
Shopping, of course, was part of the plans this trip. We were pretty proud of all the souvenirs we brought back this trip, as were the friends and family that received them.
- Lahaina Town
- Lahaina Cannery Mall
- Whalers Village
- Queen Ka'ahumana Center
