Kimo's
Kimo's

Kimo's has been a landmark restaurant on Front Street in Lahaina for over 30 years now. Featuring 2 levels for dining, including an outdoor lanai right on Lahaina Harbor, Kimo's is great for just 2 or 20, all with a wonderful and laid back atmosphere.

Serving lunch and dinner, you'll find a nice selection of fresh seafood, hearty steaks, and a few island delights like Koloa Pork Ribs. A fully staffed bar downstairs can make practically any tropical drink you can come up with, and an after dinner atmosphere than can make those post-sunset hours seem to last forever.

Notes

One of the great things we love about Lahaina and Front Street is that there are so many great choices to eat. Kimo's is one of them, and our choice for dinner there was one of those "walk and decide" selections. One thing we wish we knew was that dinner upstairs didn't start until 5pm, so we had some extra time to kill.

The upstairs dining area is very spacious, and although it was rather empty when it just opened at 5pm, I can easily see it filling up later in the evening. There were quite a few tables large enough to seat groups of 8 or more, so that's an option if you're traveling with family and/or friends. Be sure to call ahead.

We didn't checkout their lanai after sunset, but that might be on our list this next trip. Another thing we took a pass on was their Hula Pie, but only because the dinner entries were very large and very good. No room left for dessert that time. We might just stop their for drinks and dessert, and skip the main course next time.

One other thing to note is that Kimo's is operated by T S Restaurants, which also operates Leilani's and Hula Grill in Ka'anapali at Whalers Village. They're all great restaurants, an although they each cater to different crowds with different tastes, we have enjoyed them all. They also share one other important characteristic, the Hula Pie!!! According to Kimo's, they're the ones that original created this very ... ambitious ... dessert.
