Cheeseburger in Paradise

You like to have something that reminds you of home when you're on vacation, and for us, it's a big, juicy cheeseburger along with a nice, cool tropical drink. Add stunning views of the ocean out at Lahaina Harbor, and ... viola ... you have Cheeseburger in Paradise.

With a slogan like "Paradise Served Daily" scrawled over the front door, and a location on Front Street directly in the heart of Lahaina Town, how could you possibly go wrong. Not to be confused with the Jimmy Buffett version back on the mainland, these restaurants (also located in Waikiki) have more of an island feel to them, and they actually are in paradise.

You can probably imagine that their specialties are their cheeseburgers and many island concoctions like the Island Style burger with grilled pineapple and teriyaki sauce. They also offer many other sandwiches if you're not looking for a cheeseburger as well as salads and some seafood as well. Everything here is very reasonably priced compared to more formal restaurants in the vicinity, and with the view of the Lahaina Harbor, there's not a bad seat in the house.

Our first cheeseburger in paradise experience was actually on the island of Oahu at their Waikiki location during our honeymoon. The impression of the good food and atmosphere lasted for a few years until our first trip to Maui, and now we go there every time as our first night out. There are certainly many different dining choices in Lahaina for many different occassions and desires. For our "we've made it back to Maui" occassion and appetite, there's no other choice for us.
