BJ's Chicago Pizzeria

Overview
A Taste of Chicago in Maui? We can relate to that, growing up in the Land of Lincoln ourselves. BJ's Chicago Pizzeria offers a unique pizza creation that you won't find at your local delivery joint, and it's brought to you right on Front Street in Lahaina.

With so many different cultures and cuisines featured on the Hawaiian islands, and with the popularity of Front Street in Lahaina, there's bound to be at least one place serving pizza with their tropical drinks, live entertainment, and stunning sunsets. It's a good change of pace if you're in town for an extended period of time, and they still do put an island twist on things (of course).

We actually didn't plan to stop in and grab a pie here, it actually happened as a result of other plans in Lahaina falling through on us. Even though we're big fans of pineapple pizza, and have been for years, we opted to try out their BBQ pizza, and it was worth another visit in the future.

We were actually existing something a little different than what we had when we saw the name "Chicago" all over the place. What we're used to in Chicago is deep-dish pizza, which is somewhat different than what BJ's considers Chicago style, but it was still nice to try something new.

They do have live music in the later evenings, though we weren't their that late. It seemed like a nice little spot to enjoy a family friendly meal after a day of shopping in Lahaina, and being that it is upstairs not only makes it a nice spot to see the sunset over Lahaina Harbor, it's also less distracting than some of the open-air restaurants right down on the street itself.
