Hawaii Magazine

While not 100% devoted to Maui, Hawaii Magazine is a great source of information and activities for all the islands. The magazine started in 1984, and in 2007, it began publishing right on the island of Oahu, bringing "the beauty, culture, music, food, people and places to your home every issue."

Since it is a multi-island magazine, the Island Hopping section is a nice way to keep tabs on what's going on all year round on each island. Each annual subscription provides 6 issues to bring some Aloha into your home all year round. Admittedly, we're more than partial to the Valley Isle, which is why we also have a magazine subscription specifically for Maui.

Maui No Ka ‘Oi ("the best") reminds us why we're head over heels about Maui every time we receive a new issue. As their website boasts, "Approximately 70 percent of our readers are repeat visitors who return to Maui at least once a year," and we're happy to fit into that category.

Much like the Hawaii Magazine, the publication also offers the latest coverage of local activities, dining, events, and featured stories, with stunning photographs and commentary from many local Maui residents. As witht he Hawaii Magazine, it is also a bi-monthly subscription that comes to you every other month. We have many a time wished it was a monthly magazine.
