Aloha Friday, Postcards

Lahaina Harbor

Boats in Lahaina Harbor featured today on the blog for my new Maui Postcards App.

Happy Aloha Friday!

Back again with the 2nd installment of the Aloha Friday Postcard series. As with last week, you don’t need to be using my new App to be able to enjoy these beautiful Maui photos (although I’d still like you try it out if you haven’t yet).

As the post title mentions, this photo is from Lahaina Harbor, probably a well known spot for many readers here. I’d venture to guess, however, that some of you might have a different recollection of your time spent in Historic Lahiana Town, while waiting to head out on the water.

Like others, many of our own experiences waiting for excursions out of Lahaina Harbor have been a little on the hectic side, with boats coming and going, large crowds gathering for the larger Pacific Whale Foundation cruises, and such.

This photo, however, paints a different scene. It was captured early one morning as my wife and I were waiting to board an 8:30am whale watch. As you can clearly see, there’s another side to Lahaina Harbor without all the activity of a midday or pre-sunset scurry of boat-goers.

More Maui Postcards

If you’d like to see more postcard images and learn everything about the new Maui Postcards App for iPhone and iPad, head over to the Maui by Postcard website and check out all the details. Even if you don’t have an iPhone or iPad, I’m still planning to regularly post some of the images featured in the App, so it’s still worth checking out.

You can also follow along with the App on Facebook and Twitter (@MauiPostcards), too, to help spread the Aloha and share it with your fellow Maui fans.

Want More Aloha Friday Photos?

Head over to the award winning Go Visit Hawaii website and take a look at their weekly Aloha Friday Photos series.

Visit them on Facebook, too, and you can submit your own Hawaii images to be featured in their series. You know you have the perfect picture to share, too, just waiting for you to send it in.

Mahalo for stopping by, and be sure to check back next week for another Aloha Friday Postcard.
