As far as social networks go, I’ve been mentioning Twitter on the site here since April of last year. Well, there’s another great place online to find more Aloha for Maui on the web. Facebook! Whether it’s your favorite resort, or the best restaurant on the island, one quick search and you’re able to show your support and share stories with other fans.
I already mentioned one site I came across earlier this week, the Lahainaluna High School Foundation, and since I’ve been featuring new Twitter users to follow every Friday, I thought I’d share some of the Facebook pages I’m a fan of.
Maui Fan Pages
- Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa – Our absolute favorite resort on Maui
- Hotel Hana-Maui – Home of the beautiful cottages we stayed at last February
- Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa – Friends of our love the Hyatt, and they’re hosting the Maui Photo Festival this September
- Maui Photo Festival and Workshops – Speaking of which, are you a Maui shutterbug, too?
- Maui Arts and Cultural Center – One of the first fan pages I found, we love the MACC
- Maui No Ka Oi Magazine – Keeps us up-to-date in between issues
- Anuhea – Maui singer/songwriter, you’ve already heard me talk about how great her music is
- Iz (Israel Kamakawiwoole) – A little more Hawaiian music for you
- KGMB9 – Get your news fix if you’re not on the islands
That’s a pretty decent list, don’t you think? Well, here’s a few more focused interests that I wanted to pass on, just in case.
- Maui Roller Girls – We saw the Roller Girls at the Whale Day Parade back in February. These ladies look pretty mean.
- Maui Inline Hockey Association – Hockey on Maui, still one of my ultimate dreams.
Last, But Not Least
Once you’re finished browsing the Facebook pages above, hopefully some you haven’t seen before, I’d like to personally invite you to my own Maui by Photo page on Facebook. If you love Maui and enjoy my new site, please show your support by becoming a fan. In return, you’ll get a few behind-the-scenes looks and a few other bonuses.
Talk Story
While this feels like a decent list, I’m sure it’s only scratching the surface. Do you have Maui pages on your fan list that you’d like to share? Maybe you operate your own Facebook page you think we’d like to know about? Do share.
Mahalo,
- Kris
