@robert, quite a number of folks at the office use Pandora, but I've been partial to my iPod still. I did look into their mobile version, but it's not supported on my phone yet (bummer). I might have to check it out again now that you've mentioned they have Hawaii mele on there, too. :)

@Liza, I could certainly see having a ton of fun at a luau or big group picnic at Kamaloe III. Kinda regret not visiting South Maui that much until last year, just about all the beaches down there are awesome. You guys certainly picked a great spot to call home.

@jalove, we likely wouldn't have discovered Keawekapu had our portrait photographer, Natalie Brown hadn't suggested it for our photo session. It easily makes it up to the top of my list.

BTW, I love hearing about all the stories you have from living on the island. I wish I was back there talking story with you guys for hours and hours!

aloha, my favorite beach on south maui is Keawekapu. Back in the early nineties, i had a friend who rented a beach home there. We were at the beach a lot. The house she rented has been torn down and it is now that big pink looking monstrosity that lays in that once beautiful property. (barely any lawn on it now). Although the tiny cottage is still there. When my friend comes to visit she only stays on Dick Donners beach house.(he's a film director) it is the one with the thatched hut mailbox, so i always love going to Keawekapu beach. the water is easy to swim and you can walk to the mana kai. Kris can i say this sparked a memory of having very fun and wild parties on Keawekapu beach. like when the Planet Hollywood opened in Lahaina and my girlfriend insisted that you don't go to a Planet Hollywood opening unless you go in a limousine. So we rode from Keawekapu beach to Front Street and it was my first time in a limo. All the hollywood stars were there and Moet champange was the drink to have. The next day Shep Gordon had all the stars come to his place on Keawekapu beach and party. We were there ! it was a blast. partying with all kines of famous hollywood people.
my second choice is makena big beach. i think in a former life i seen myself living on that beach like the hippies did back in the seventies. open and free, sun and waves!!. okay thanks for letting me let you know what my favorite south maui beach is!
happy may day to ya!
