Location: Hamoa Beach, Hana, Maui
This week’s Sunday Photo is from our most recent visit to Hana and the east side of the island. It was taken at Hamoa Beach, which is only a few miles further passed the town of Hana itself.
I’ve always had a thing for beach photos, and really enjoy a nice stretch of sand and a blue sky wherever I can get one. But there was something so peaceful and serene about Hamao Beach that I hadn’t found on any of the other beaches we’ve been to on Maui. I think a good part of it might be due to the fact it’s on the east side of the island and rather secluded from everywhere else.
It took us three trips to Hana to find this beach. We drove to Hana ourselves this trip and the first two visits were with different tour companies. We saw a lot of great things with those tours, but we never stopped at Hamoa Beach. Maybe they’re trying to keep in a secret.
