Wow, it’s been a fast first week here on Maui. There have been so many great moments so far, and the most recent one occurred yesterday at Whale Day in Kihei at Kalama Park. Two of my friends from Twitter, Dave (aka @raatz) and Liza (aka @AMauiBlog) came out to have a little Maui tweetup. We had a great time talking story and listening to some of the live music at the festival. It was really nice getting their insight to the island and about everyday life on Maui.
Mahalo again, Dave and Liza, for taking the time to come down to Whale Day and saying Aloha! It was just another one of the many great memories we’ll have from this year’s trip.

Kris, we were there on Saturday, as well. From 11-1. Had some food, and watched the show. Should have tried to meet you. Was climbing the crater when we heard about the accident. Our friends in Kaanapali got stuck as well and did a u-turn back home. Hope you enjoy Hana. We are now back in the world.Bob

It was a great event, glad you made it out there. Kudos for the PWF and all the sponsors that helped put it together each year.
Had a great time in Hana and along the Road to Hana, other than me falling into the Oheo Gulch. More details about that when I get caught up on my trip journal entries.
I hope you had a nice visit here, too.
