If you’re looking to do any type of cruise or sail in West Maui, there is a good chance you’ll end up down at Lahaina Harbor. That’s where this week’s photo was taken, during one of our traditions each trip to Maui. Two weeks is a lot of time to spend on the Valley Isle, and a lot of time to gather so many new memories. Each year, we like to top off that last evening in paradise with a sunset cruise along the coast of West Maui, catching that final sunset before we leave for home the next day. Sort of bittersweet, come to think of it.
One our first trip, we did our final night cruise with Teralani, which actually picked us up right on Ka’anapali Beach in front of Whalers Village. The following year, when this photo was taken, we were aboard the Ocean Quest vessel for the Lahaina Sunset Coctail Cruise with the Pacific Whale Foundation. Last year, well, we were booked for a return sail with the PWF, however, after our first of three boat rides that trip, we realized that the motion of the ocean wasn’t agreeing with all of us that week. No fear, though, as I think we’re getting back on that horse and giving the PWF cruise another shot in February. We really can’t wait.
