Maui Trip Twitter Possible

For last year’s trip, I used this blog as a journal with updates each day summarizing the good and the bad that happened the previous day. That still is going to be in the plans this year, too.

In addition, I’m also thinking of putting together a vacation Twitter page together here (somewhere), and updating it various times a day from my PDA with updates on where we are and what we’re doing, etc. If you’re not sure what Twitter is (and these days, I can’t blame you), check it out here.

I hope to have a dedicated page here on the site as well as a feed in the blog with the latest details. Also, if you have a Twitter account and want to follow me on my vacation, either sending wishes or sneers of jealousy, you can follow me as webnelly.

I’ll post a comment here if I make any progress on this before we leave Sunday.

Mahalo.

Finished just in time. Our Maui Twitter page is now live and will be providing updates for our entire trip. We will also plan for using the archives from this Twitter as part of our Trips section once we return.

If you have a Twitter account and want to follow along, find us here.

Well, it’s been a few days and although I’ve hit a few snags along the way, I think it’s been somewhat interesting to keep this Twitter going so far. I’d love to hear what others think about it, whether you think it’s neat or is something you wouldn’t really care for.

All feedback is welcome, this is an experiment after all and the measure of it’s success is really what other people reading this are thinking. In the worst case, I have a mini travel log of things we’ve done throughout this trip.

    Mahalo.

I’m drooling over the carrots (have you seen the ‘carrot’ picture in my “Around NYC” album on FB?)…. and the pizza.

The pizza was amazing. I always forget how awesome it tastes with real Maui pineapple and not the stuff we have back home. And to answer the discussion we were having during lunch at Kona Grill a few months ago, the Hawaiian pizza here has ham on it (not Canadian bacon or Spam). Very, very ono (delicious).
