No, this isn’t a spelling bee.
When your site has a name like Ka’anapali Dreamin’, it turns out not to be the easiest thing for people to remember, let alone spell, when you’re telling someone about it. Who knew?
To help, we added a second domain for our website, just to make it easier to share with others. Introducing kdmaui.com. By going to kdmaui.com in your browser, you’re automatically redirected to the full www.kaanapalidreamin.com domain, which means no more Hawaiian spelling lessons for your friends and family. Just remember, kdmaui.com, and you’re on your (virtual) way back to the Valley Isle.
Mahalo.

Maui in September? We’ve been going in September for countless years so we can watch the fall equinox sunrise. If you haven’t experienced that on the morning of the equinox do it. It’s an etheric experience with the chanting and drumming after our glorious sun has risen. We go up around 2:00 a.m. giving us a extra experience of the ray that shoots from the moon to the island science center.. We were told there is a device on the moon that sends information as to the movement of the earths plates. Very interesting. Don’t know if it can always be seen or if we just had a fortunate experience. Imagine it, a clear night sky, stars as big as plums that we could pick out of the sky and one huge beam of light coming from the moon to what seemed like behind us. WOW. We wished we would have had something other than a “camera in a box” at that moment.
Love you web site. When I get ‘homesick” I just pull it up and feel better. Your photography is wonderful.
Today is black rock day…? love it, thanks!
